I am starting this off with the disclaimer that I am not a "big" case guy. I am currently using the d-brand grip as my daily driver, with the Rebel Series 3 as the backup.

That said, I do have a history with cases like the Otterbox Defender, Otterbox Defender XT, Suppose Unicorn Beetle Pro, and the like. I usually use cases like this for when I have to travel. For me, travel is not required for work (I am a High School administrator), but is reserved for vacations.

We have an upcoming trip to Disney World at the end of June, and I began to think about what case I would use. MagSafe is not essential for travel, as our portable chargers are all wired. So with all that aside, I got the Caseborne ArmadilloTek V for my 13 pro max in black. Honestly, far superior to the other 3 I named above on a few fronts.
1. Size is comparable, but this is very grippy with side grips already molded to the case.
2. Price- on amazon (link below) this case costs $24, which is significantly less expensive than any otter box offering, and $3 more than suppose.
3. Appropriate cutouts- this case mirrors the asymmetrical speakers of the phone, which is not the same as supcase.
4. Built in kick stand is easier to use than the supcase one. It comes out and locks away with far greater ease, and without the use of a finger nail
5. Case aside, the CS with armadillotek (case borne) is awesome. The team has always been responsive & eager to help. My experience with supcase, is nothing like that.

If you want a "tank" like case, and MagSafe is not important to you, I highly recommend the Armadillotek V.
