Hi all,

What is the best USB C charger for the my new 16 Pro?

I know people usually recommend the standard Apple 20W charger, but I wanted to know if there are any other better alternatives. Also I prefer a black/dark colour charger and the Apple ones are White.

My personal preferences are Anker or Ugreen. I am really liking Ugreen's new Nexode Pro 65W. It sits flush against the wall and seems very secure when plugged in and it fits into the pocket on my backpack with a cable that my older larger 100W charger took up by itself.

That being said, the larger 100W or 140W GaN chargers are great for charging everything from a 3-in-1 stand with phone, watch, and earbuds to a laptop at the same time, which is great.

Chargers ultimately depend on your use case. If the only thing it will ever charge is a 16 Pro, and charging speed isn't your top priority, one of the super small 20W GaN chargers from either of those brands will be fine. If you want it to charge at the fastest possible speed, I believe the 16 Pro can actually charge close to 40W at select times, so you'd want a charger and USB-C cable capable of at least 40W. Always make sure you have a good quality cable with the charger rated for at least the speeds you want to charge at.

Yes charging my 16 Pro is all I want to do and I always charge my phone overnight so I don't need crazy fast speeds.
Any recommendations of which exact charger to go for...
I like in London so please recommend chargers that can be bought from Amazon UK.

Anker Option
Ugreen Option

But that's just a very quick glance at cheap options with UK based plug types. My personal experience with both brands has been that their devices do what they advertise, safely and reliably for a long time.

I don't mind spending extra money if the charger is quality

When it comes to chargers, you pay more for higher speed, more powerful options. If you don't need fast speeds then cheap is what you'll have options for. Both of those brands are the highest quality, so search them and pick whichever charger you like the best.

If you spend 50 pounds or really anything over say 20-25 for a simple 20W charger, you're way way way overpaying.

Thank you
I bought the Anker charger you recommended in the end!
