Hello

Can someone recommend child safety/security software for the Iphone 7. My challenge is the ability for the child to turn off internet (and thus bypass the router at home) and use their data plan to access sites.

No "bad sites" are being accessed but my son is entering those curious teenage years soon and I want to get ahead of things.

Thank you

I don’t think there’s any such solution exists today to be installed on the iPhone itself.

However you can restrict domains from your home router and can contact the service provider to turn on child protection on his number. That’ll block him accessing unwanted sites using his mobile data.

Look into nextdns.io; might be a “simple” way until he gets smart enough to bypass it. Also look into OurPact.

but if the child leaves the home and finds another free wifi location - it's hello World Wide Web

Did you look at nextdns? Can override their ability to browse certain things on any network...

Toggle access on nextdns to what you do or don’t want them to access, blacklist sites you definitely want them off of, install on phone and then turn on password parent mode.
