I am heading off to college soon and I would like to bring an old Mac computer to play all the old games available at Macintosh Garden on.

I would prefer one that doesn't take up a lot of space, so an iBook or PowerBook is probably needed.... One that can run Mac OS 9 natively and run EVERY single classic game great... so probably either a late G3 or early G4... which ones would you guys recommend and what's the cheapest way to get one???

Games on laptops typically suck. An 867MHz or 1GHz Titanium PowerBook G4 would be your best Mac OS 9 laptop. My choice for a full time OS 9 machine is my PowerMac 8600. Holds a ton of RAM, allows for multiple video card and CPU upgrade options, and has the look of a bigtime Mac from the late 90's.

A Titanium G4 Powerbook would give you the most power for a laptop, but some Classic games might have issues with the wide screen. I remember reading Falcon 4 had problems with it.

Get a Sawtooth and stick it under your desk.
