Wondering if anyone knows the best formula for cleaning a Matte screen of a 15" 2012 MBP? I used to use glasses cleaner and it worked brilliantly, I bought some screen cleaner from Amazon but I'm a bit sceptical about it, it seems to leave streaks and seems like it may be damaging the surface a little bit

I have and will probably always use the same cleaner Apple uses in all of its retail stores. WHOOSH!. It's an orange bottle and can be had on Amazon and other retailers. I highly recommend the product. Works on screens, iDevices, keyboards, TV's...you name it. I've been using it for what seems like 10 years, maybe more. https://www.amazon.com/WHOOSH-Award...child=1&keywords=whoosh&qid=1624990069&sr=8-3

Following Apples technique you spray the solution on the provided microfiber cloth and wipe the screen or peripheral. Never spray directly on a device. Follow with a dry microfiber cloth and gently polish to a premium 'Apple clean'. The only product I wouldn't try it on is the XDR/iMac with Nano textured glass as Apple has very specific cleaning instructions for those special products.
