I'm considering just using super(c) worked a thousand times better for my old iPod Classic. wondering if anyone has a better idea/setting that work better for it.

(it supports h.264 right?)

umm...i use handbrake to rip DVDs, and i used wm converter to convert .avi files, but that was on windows. if you use a mac, i dont know what to say, i havent got a really good program that retains quality

Handbrake is all I use, frankly. It works great. Just use the iPhone setting, and it works without flaw.

For .avi, maybe MPEG streamclip? I personally stay as far away from those hideous .avi files. It's second to worse, only beaten by .wmv's
