With the launch of the new iPhone imminent I am looking for advice on the best deals for iPhone. Currently I have an AT&T iPhone 6 (so does the mrs) and were looking to get new iPhone and possibly switch carriers... any thoughts?

Anyone have luck last year going to Verizon or T-Mobile?

Why dont you choose apple plan
apple does let you buy like ATT next

no interest 24 months

that fair deal

IIRC both ATT and VZW offered a free iPhone 7 64GB or credit equal to the cost of that phone. The credits were distributed over the life of the 2 year contract. BUT you had to do the financing with them, you couldn't buy the phone outright. Also the credits stopped if you upgraded after a year or paid the phone off. So def. some fine print.

Do you recall when they started this promotion last year? Was this available at launch or did it take some time before they ran this. I assume they will do this again for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8+ but doubt you will see any deals like this with regards to the iPhone X.

I’m sure tomorrow all the carriers will announce their new trade in and switch promotions. I wouldn’t rely on past years for guidance. All it takes is one crazy promotion COUGHtmobileCOUGH to upset the entire industry.

It surfaced at least a couple days after launch, perhaps as much as a week. It seemed to be in response to a roughly equivalent T-Mobile promo. I wouldn't assume anything regarding what promos may or may not be available.
