Best Digital Camera for Powerbook

My brother has a Sony and its not compatibles with ichatusb, etc

What would be the best mid range Digital camera out there for the MAC. I'm looking for something that i can also use with ichatusb as well as iphoto, etc

as far as i know any Firewire Camcoder will work with ichat plus Apple's iSight

there is also another firewire webcam that will work but i can not remember what its caled

I am not looking for an isight type camera, i am looking for a digital camera i can also connect to my computer, any recomendations

Accord to the list of known working configurations, finding a digital still camera to suit your needs will be difficult. You'd be better off to buy a decent ($150 or more) digital camera and a $50 webcam. Just be sure to get a webcam from that list.

Additionally, FYI, any digital camera that *would* work is going to feast on batteries or require an AC adapter.

This works as a web cam or is that not what your implying?
I'm glad my iMac has an iSight yet my miniDV was a great thing to have for a web cam, the few times I did use it
Good luck finding a camera that will let you do that with iChat.
