I have been reading about disk utilities and Disk Warrior keeps coming up, but also Drive Genius.
Can anyone please comment on which disk utility might be the best choice?
Thanks a lot for any advice.
 
Both DW and DG are great apps, probably among the very best for what they do. If you can't resurrect/fix a drive with either of them, your drive is definitely FUBAR.
 
I read somewhere (I think Powerpage, I'll try and find it) that Leopard's Disk Utility is the best at recovering data from damaged disk, maybe you should wait for that before you buy something else if you're gonna upgrade...
