Best Donation Service?

I'm looking into giving back for the new year and would really like to contribute to helping animals in any way possible. Does anyone know of a reliable donation site that has all the necessary information? Also is it possible to submit a donation in the form of PayPal?

These guys are always sending me emails looking for money. I've never sent them anything, as I'd rather use my money to help people than animals, but I'm happy to pass their info on to you.

Why don't you just support your local SPCA, or any other non-profit animal protection in your area?

Ditto that. And, you can double check a charity's record by seeing what the BBB says about 'em.
