My modem is going out. I was on the phone with a t & t for over an hour and they wanted to ship me one of theirs. Grrrr.

Can you guys tell me which dsl modem is the best one to buy? I know that some dsl modems work better with mac computers than others. I have only mac computers.

I don't have airport extreme, or express, etc.

Another question I have is, what is the benefit of purchasing Airport Extreme or Airport express? I've just always used the wireless connections I have had from my dsl router.

Thanks!

I've had good success with Motorola and Westel but it all depends on what brands or models are supported by your Carrier. I've had BellSouth /AT&T since DSL service was started. :)

What's your up/download speeds? If its not really fast then the router they provide should do fine. A high end wireless router only helps if you are doing network data transfer or need a lot of range.
