hey guys,

I've searched here but I can't seem to find a solid answer, more like a bunch of very close answers.

Anyways I have a mid-2014 rMBP 15" with Iris Pro and the 750 nvidia gpu. Ideally I'd like to have two 4k Displays for work and hopefully, as close to 60hz as possible. I know HDMI is limited to 30hz but I read you can "hack" the preferences to produce 52hz if I run them over the TB2 ports.

So would this work?
2x 4K displays running over TB2 (both TB2 ports at the same time) + hack for 52hz?

Would that give me the macbook display + 2 extended displays? Is there major performance hit doing this (if it's possible) ?

Why not use mini displayport or displayport through the Thunderbolt ports for 60 Hz?
