I just have a questions reagarding which is best of the dual MDD processors to overclock, as I will be purchasing a replacement for my machine. Which would be better a DP 1.0GHz, DP 1.25Ghz, or DP1.42Ghz? Let me know what you guys think/reccomend.

Thank you

Erick

I agree with 666sheep's numbers, but I'll offer alternative advice: IMHO, if the 1.42 module is not stable at 1.58 at stock voltage, the best course of action is to drop it down a notch to 1.5GHz. Upping core voltage just introduces more heat and, to me, it's not worth it for such a small performance increase in that final jump.

Some of these 1.42GHz modules do run stable at 1.58GHz at stock voltage. However, if not, 1.5GHz is still 20% faster than a stock 1.25GHz MDD. That's enough of a difference to notice in actual use. If you're running CHUD Nap Mode and use good thermal compound, it should be worry free for a long time.
