Hi , can someone suggest the best dvd ripper software for imac. I've looked at so many online and can't decide which is the best and easiest to use. i want to put my dvd movies onto my ipod touch!

what about vlc

Hi ,

do u need the vlc programme installed to use handbrake?

no, handbrake is really simple and easy to use. it has the best presets for the ipod touch etc....
you do not need vlc to use it, however i recommend getting vlc because its a brilliant movie player.

Well, Yess and no, have a look at THIS THREAD, You can use HB without VLC but on the newer (newest) builds you have to have VLC if you want to rip copy protected (hollywood) movies in one step (naughty you you shouldnt be doing that). but it will work just hunkey dorey on dvds thahay either have no copy protection, (i.e. iDVD/toast created discs) or discs that have had there copy protection removed by another program (bad and in most places illegal).
