best dvd ripper ?

hi iv just purchased my first mac,

i am in the process of converting my dvd collection to mkv, mpeg and mp4 formats and putting them on my media player. what is the best dvd ripper that can convert in to mkv, mpeg and mp4 formats ? would be good if there was a free one.

I always use Handbrake. It does the job well, and it's free. Unfortunately it's not on the Mac App Store.
