I'm new to the world of Macs (not to Apple, I've owned an iPhone since it came out) and wondering if there are any recommended platforms. I've been looking at AirMail but it doesn't seem to have a calendar function where I can sync with Apple's calendar. Am I mistaken?

Additionally, would I be able to add a SharePoint email account?

I use Airmail. It isn't perfect but it's better than Apple mail. You are correct that Airmail doesn't have a calendar. I use iCal (Apple's calendar) for my calendar but there are other alternatives. I assume since you've had an iPhone for years, your calendar is on your iPhone so if you sign in to iCloud on your iPhone and your Mac, all your calendar data will show up in both places.

Of course you can add any email account you like to either Apple mail or Airmail but Airmail offers more configuration options.
