I've had some mild shoulder issues. I told my wife that getting the rMB would help my shoulder!!!

Who needs an excuse? :)

I want one so I will buy one.

Seriously, there are just so many times when a smaller computer allows me to work in more places. The convencir factor is significant.

I am beginning to age. A screen that would prevent the strain of the "garbage" Macbook Air would be a delight. Count me in for one as well.

Who needs an excuse? Do tell, where have you tried to work that you just can't seem to work with a Macbook Pro or Macbook Air? LOL. This ought to be good.

And people who are married need an excuse. LOL. Simple solution I've found, don't get married... and kids... heck no! They don't provide the entertainment an Apple product does.

Exactly;

For the large majority of ppl, that will mean far more than being able to finish rendering an image a few seconds faster, or running a 3D game with a few more FPS.

Yes they do, far more! Far more aggrevation as well though! :p

Not going to get all philisophical on you, you're probably super happy, and that's great, but my kids, 5 & 3, give me genuine comedic laugh out loud moments at least twice a day, almost every day. Much more than I can say for my iPad or MBA ;)

MBP is big and MBA doesn't have retina. What were you expecting?

I wouldn't trade anything for my wife and daughter. I make enough to buy the computer with my wife's persmission. :)

Admitting to your wife you can't carry around a 3.5 pound laptop would be rather embarrassing. Might want to hit the gym if 3.5 pounds is heavy to you :p

I've got an almost 6lb 15 inch retina MacBook Pro. ( Yeah, still no excuse!!)

Who needs an excuse. People drive around in off road vehicles on the road with road tyres. Makes no sense to me but it happens. Fit for purpose.

Buy a low powered 'cause its enough' machine or a 128GB rMBP. Up to you.

Apple and others release faster cause you need it products every year and last years is junk instantly but noooo... this year its a new 'all you need' product.

Nothing needs to make sense these days.

If you want it. That i guess is enough.

Yep, I respect people who have kids, it's a hell of a lot harder life than I'll ever know. Everyone has their vices they spend their money on... some kids... some electronics... some big boats... and some the crack pipe. Whatever makes one happy. LOL

or on all of the above ;):D:eek:

Well, I'm starting graduate school.

For undergrad I took an iPad with a keyboard to class, but my graduate classes will be much more research based. I will need a full computer to keep up and work with others. My 15" rMBP stays docked at home and is somewhat bulky to carry around.

That will be my justification if I get one or sell my 15" to get a maxed out 13" rMBP.

Uh,

My knee hurts from my 15"

My left knee. It started two days ago. 4 lbs is heavy.

(actually it doesn't really 'hurt'. It's more like a notification for change ...to buy something :) )

Now we're discussing marriage?

Just drop your MacBook Pro in a pool or drive over it. Now you do need a new system. :p
