Hi all,
I happen to have one of those Analog-to-Digital converters so I can import home movies into iMovie, which I then edit and move thru iDVD to DVD.
Someone asked me to do an import for them so they can later edit the clips on their Windoze machine.
I got to thinking that they wouldn't be able to edit the clips once I move burn them as a DVD movie (I don't think I can either, but that's another question
)
My current question is, what's the best way to export clips I'm digitizing for use by a Windows user?
If I use the DV option under the .avi compression, each 10 minute clip is like 1.9Gig! To move 3 or 4 hours of video that way (as files on a DVD) would take many, many discs. But using the 24fps AVI or LAN speed Quicktime file seems to make the clips small (width/hight) and a bit too-low quality.
Any advice on the best Custom settings from iMovie would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. It's after 11pm my time and I'm heading for bed... early morning tomorrow. So I won't be able to read or reply 'till tomorrow.
Thanks!
