Im not an expert, I know that is a lottery buying a HD but whats the best 4TB external HD for the MacBookPro?

Im good with USB3, I dont need pay a lot for a thunderbolt hd...

and I dont want install any software that comes with the HD, I just need plug and use with the mac OS.

I just want used for storage, video/music/photos...

any help? thanks ;)

I've only used Seagate 4TB external enclosures, but this worked pretty okay for me.

It periodically goes down to about $140 so if price is a concern this could be a good option.

It doesn't have a power on/off switch though... so I've always left it on :)

Anything WD (western digital). Stay away from seagate, been total **** for the last few years. (I have a stack of faulty seagate drives in our offices from laptops to servers, all waiting to be drilled and smashed).
