Thanks Samuel

This one is 4K but 'matte'

Dell P2415Q 23.8-Inch Ultra HD 4K LCD Monitor (2M:1, 300 cd/m2, 3840 x 2160, 8ms, DP/Mini DP/HDMI (MHL)/USB) - Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00R420WNM/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_b5iiwbSDTVRF4

Do most apple users prefer 'gloss'? with anti refective coating, I think I do.

Which year do you have for your macbook? Anything older than late 2013 won't run 4K and to be honest it hasn't had the best reports @ 4K 60Hz until this years model with the IRIS 6200 graphics.

Sorry mate meant 6100, should be fine on that.

As for monitors I don't use one myself so I can't suggest anything, do your research and trawl amazon you'll probably get a good deal there.
