Hey guys, besides the great apple 24" and 27" displays, due to cost, what are some other good one some of you have experience with?

LED back lit a must

size- 24" minimum

glossy highly preffered, and or glass covered like apple.

$$ biggest concern- $350 maximum

Look around for a used Dell Ultrasharp U2410, I saw some here in toronto for ~400. If you offer 350 or something they might sell it anyways,

Course, this is if you don't mind buying used.

Yes screen type matters. I want IPS. Basically I keep looking for what the 24/ 27" has , but for less price. Glossy, not matte

Good luck with that. You are not going to get a quality monitor unless you put down a decent amount of dough. There are also very few glossy IPS panels available and even fewer LED panels. Besides the LED doesn't really mean that you get better image quality anyway.

Yeah, I don't think you are going to find an IPS panel for that price. The closet thing you'll find for under $350 for what you want is probably the HP monitor 2509 or 2710. I am pretty sure they are TN/LCD panels but they are glossy & bright. Not many glossy IPS monitors out there.

Look for a cPVA Panel they are fairly cheap and have very good contrast.

I really don't get the LED hype, there are virtually no high-end displays that use LED yet.
If a display is announced as LED, then it's likely a cheap TN display.

I'd take bout any CCFL IPS or VA panel over a LED TN..

Also customer service varies a lot.
I just had a new Eizo delivered on the door by UPS because my old one was having problems, I just have to call UPS to get them pick the old one up.
The screen was 3 years old, replacement free of charge.
