best external HD with Firewire and sleep function ?

I'm hesitating between upgrading my mini by removing the SD to put an optibay + HD

or getting an external HD

the thing is to find the best external HD

it should have or be:

- firewire 800
- sleep function/power saving
- quiet


3rd party external enclosure seem nice and have multiple ports (usb2, fw800 and esata) but do not manage sleep or auto on/off


what brands would you recommend ?

so far i'm thinking of the new WD My Book Studio (the one with an e-ink display)

but there might be other HD....

please let me know your thoughts

This hasn't been updated in a while, but outside of a couple of hard drives, there isn't much missing.

I haven't really noticed. Two or three this week, but not a whole lot otherwise. Just because it's not the latest and greatest, does't mean it's not the best for you.
