Best External HD

I am looking to buy an external Hd (500GB i think), to backup my 250GB Drive in my iMac via Time Machine. I need a 3.5 drive (Firewire 800 would be good, but not required). Any suggestions on the best deal fro the above mentioned drive? I am not brand loyal in the HD department so it doesn't really matter.

Try the mybook range from WD or put one together

id be more inclined to make my own, i.e. choose ur HD case and your own actual HD. just makes it easier and you can choose what interfaces you want and all that other stuff.
