Best External Sound Card - For Headphones

Hi All - I am hoping i can pick on some brains regarding external sound cards.

I am trying to hunt down a reliable and high quality external card for my headphones. I have zilch experience or knowledge in this marketplace so hoe some more insightful people can help me out

Did u want just a 1/8" or 1/4" output for headphones? If so, you can take a look at an external DAC (Digital Analog Convertor) + an Headphone Amplifier for driving headphones.

It's available in either a DAC+AMP (in 1 single package) or DAC + AMP separately.

Most of these head-phile units accept USB output from computers so no worries there.

Do have a look at head-fi.org under the "Equipment>Computer Audio" forum.

I'm personally using the DACport which can be found here and i couldn't be happier.
