Hi,

Any advice on:

a) Does flickr have a Mac client like Picasso does?

b) If not, if there an obvious most popular flickr Mac client for automated photo uploading/management with flickr

thanks

PS. I'm looking at flickr over picasso as it seems cheaper for the great GB's worth of photos

Why not try smugmug? I've been using them for ~4 years, and think both the interface and customer service are the best (after using Flickr and pbase). They've got a no-cost trial, and if you want a discount code for a paid membership, PM me.

is there a Mac client? can it synch folders?

There is the Flickr Uploadr, but it is just for uploading images rather than doing full management. iPhoto and Lightroom (not sure about Apeture?) also have built in functions for uploading to Flickr, though I usually prefer to just use the Uploadr.

I'm not aware of a full-on management tool for Flickr.

just ordered the iLife11 so I'll try the new version of iPhoto out and see if it does folder sync (as some suggest it does)

best I've found is for LightRoom
it's jflickr it can upload/convert RAW files on the fly + lots of keyword, watermarks & such.

I use the Flickr Uploadr every so often, for edited files.
