Hi, this is my first post here even though I've been a daily reader for almost 2 years. I love to listen to my own music while I'm driving, like everyone else. I just got a new car (2001 BMW 325xi) and it doesn't have a cassette player or an aux port. So I'm limited to buying a new stereo or getting and FM transmitter. Seeing as I just bought a car, I'm short on money, so I'm left with buying an FM transmitter for my car. I know they are not very good quality for music, I'm just asking what is they best type/brand I should buy. Any and all opinions are appreciated!

*I have an iPhone 5s*

Thanks again!

For use with my iPhone 5....I just gave up on my old Motorola T505 in favor of this:

http://www.amazon.com/iKross-Multif...2741902&sr=8-2&keywords=ikross+fm+transmitter

On the plus side: Strength of signal has been excellent, even in a major metro area. Stations that on the T505 would be full of breakthrough static remain clear on the iKross. Stations are easy to set (there's no scan feature, you set it with a dial). Powers on with the ignition.

Negatives: Does not disconnect/power off automatically with ignition--it will shut down when your phone is out of range for 3 minutes, or you can simply click the push button on the end. The forward/back buttons are tiny; tough to use without looking (as they are on many models--I have the phone mounted on the dash & use its controls instead). And, of course, it's still an FM transmitter. Sound quality isn't the best.

Still, it blows my T505 out of the water, and that wasn't a bad model just 2-3 years ago.
