Best format for USB Drive for both OS X & Windows

Hi All,

I often have to use my personal USB drive at work; using Windows PC. I also transfer documents from the USB drive to my MBP.

I have noticed that there are some unknown files every time I switch from PC to my MBP.

What is the best way to format my USB drive so that I can use it easily between OS X and PC?

You can use exFat filesystem and the app CleanMyDrive ( free on MAS ) to clean all unknown/hidden files/folders...

It is normal that you see unknown files when you switch from Mac to Windows and reverse...

I never knew about 'clean my drive'.

I will give it a go, hope it runs smooth on Yosemite.
