Now I have a choice of frame rates I was wondering which frame rate would be best for action sports? I have always gone with 50i as standard but now I am about to get an EX1 so I'll be shooting at 60p for good slow-mos.

30 or 25 fps for people flying through the air? What do you think?

let me know how the slow down goes. I film skiing and I am getting a HV20 which has 24p, let me know what settings you use

Shoot 60p :D !!!

Shooting 60p will get your the cleanest, smoothest motion. The lower the frame rate the more jerky and/or strobing the motion will become.

What is final distribution? Internet? DVD or broadcast in an NTSC or PAL country? Conforming the 60p footage to 24p using Cinema Tools would probably be your best bet as it's relatively easy to change 24p into NTSC or PAL.
