Best Frame-rate Setting for Animated Image Montage?

I'm going to be starting an image montage as part of a contract I'm working on. I've done previous similar projects in 480i, but I was wondering if it might be better to do it in 480p 24fps to give it a more cinematic feel. Unfortunately I've never done a whole project in 24p so I have no clue how it would effect things such as pan/zoom on images, etc. Any advice would be appreciated.
