Hey everyone,

I'm kinda new to the whole "Apple Movement" and i recent bought an 2G 8GB iTouch and was wondering whats the best free apps out there, and yes ive check the "best apps" part of the Apps store but that stuff isnt really amusing at all lol, so im curious to see what kind of apps yall like?

pandora, tap/tap revenge, labyrinth lite, maze finger, espn cameraman, tchess lite

I usually access the app store from the iPod Touch and check out the reviews.

It really depends on what you plan to do with your iPod. Most people want an IM client. I use IM+ lite. Other than that, most of my apps are games.

Two best places to look for new apps: App Store > Top Free Apps and App Store > Games > Top Free Apps.

Games like Papi Jump and cube runner are essential. Everything else is preference.

I have the following right now:

-AIM
-REMOTE
-iBowl
-Myspace
-Facebook
-Spanish
-Google
-iTv
-Backgrounds
-TapDefense
-Labryinth
-TouchPhysics
-Mazefinger
-Tap Tap Revolution
-Flick Fishing
-MotoChaser
-Audi A4
-R.Thunder

The app I use the most is WORD WARP
Other great ones I enjoy are
Graphing Calculator
Iconic Notes
Pathways
Google Earth
Apple Remote
Facebook
Movies
ITV
AOL RADIO
Pandora
Soduku
Ebay
Solitaire

Others I tried
Evernote - I liked this app and the fact that you can sync online. Chose iconic notes because of the makeup
Tap Tap Revenge (gets boring after a while but I love the shake feature, people think I am nuts shaking my pod to the beat on the trains lol)
NY TIMES - not really good
Trace-again boring after a while

The best one of all in my opinion is a 3D first-person shooter game, although it takes someone with an IQ of 12 or higher to figure it out (just remember: the menu is in the upper left hand corner and to choose single player to fight enemies and you'll be fine LOL):

I have several, but the best ones are:

Urbanspoon (to find nearby restaurants with menus and ratings by customers), EasyMail (great for typing and quickly sending emails), Sol Free (Solitaire), Tangram Pro (a puzzle game), Spacebuster (game), and best of all AppSniper (which alerts you to applications in iTunes that are on sale or that are new).

There's a free HP 12c emulator on there if you'd like a good financial calculator.

Cube lags though.

I really like the delivery status aap, I find it really really useful.

Although, it ain't free - £0.59 which isn't bad is it.
