best free time machine backup option for iMac ventura

I have spent way to much time effort and money trying to get time machine to work on iMac ventura ...looks like I am not the only one (typical apple deal) buy one use it spend the rest of your life trying in vain to debug it.....thanks all-

Can you share some more detail on what issues you’re seeing.

Time Machine is pretty much plug and play. Plug in external drive, confirm use for Time Machine backups.
