I have neo office but im wondering if theres any other programs similiar to iWork with templates and whatnot that are free

I know System 7 Today has WordPerfect for Classic Mac OS.

So if you have a PowerPC Mac, this could be an interesting route to take.

*edit* now that I see you have a MacBook I apologize.

NeoOffice really is the best free office suite out there for Mac. OpenOffice.org should be making its own native Aqua version soon, so that may or may not be better. IBM is releasing Lotus Symphony based on OpenOffice.org code, so that may be more polished, but it will still be free. I'm not sure if the Mac version is ready yet. But for a whole office suite, you already have the best currently.

For just a free Word replacement, I hear Abiword and Bean are pretty good. Try those out. I'm not sure if they have templates, though.

I did read your post, maybe you should reread it.
You titled the thread "best free word program?" You can't get upset at people because they answered your question just as you asked it.

I told you i already had neooffice

Best free program with pre-made page templates and that type of stuff -- don't know.

There's no need for anyone to get upset here. He simply told you that neooffice was the best free word app. That gives you confirmation that you have (in brand's opinion) the best that you can get for free. I too agree that neooffice is the best you can get for free not to mention probably better than many others that are not free.
