Best FTP app for Mac ?

Transmit is the best, though it isn't free, for free clients you have Cyberduck or Fugu for SFTP.
I use Cyberduck when I have a need for ftp, and it works well enough for me. And it's free.
I'll throw in another vote for Cyberduck. Good unless you're doing a ton of FTPing, it should more then cover you. Plus, like TPAM said, it's free, and you can't argue with free.

i believe upgrades are free.
i've never EVER had any problems operating it on either mac classic or mac os x.

I have a question about Transmit.
My dad uses CuteFTP and does all of his work on windows. He access his sever and stuff off of windows. He wants me to help him wit a site and is going to buy an FTP program. He wants to buy CuteFTP for mac for me. Would transmit be better? Would it do the same thing, would there be any problems if it's a different program?
They may seem like noob questions, but I know nothing of FTP programs. thanks for the help.

No, there wouldn't be any problems if you used Transmit & your dad used CoolFTP. But Transmit is better.

alright, i spoke too soon. i downloaded and installed it. i've been nosing around with it and i've decided i really liked the features!

I used Fugu for a little while. I really like the side-by-side GUI (similar to Transmit), but ultimately I went back to Cyberduck. Have they updated Fugu at all recently? When I used it last, it had been a year to two since it was updated last...
Another vote for Fetch
P.S. The most recent version of Fetch will work for longer than 15 days but you have to wait 1 second for each day past 15 ( I am still using the trial and just haven't had a need to re-boot and just keep it running )
