It is a little more expensive then you might think, but well worth the prices especially if you have as much media, music and photos and videos as I do, besides it uses 3.5" disks which are way cheaper then other types of disks.

There is also the network adapter you need if you want to put it on the network, but what I did was attach it to my Airport Extreme on the USB port but when I have to transfer large files I attach to it via USB or FW400
