Best Graphics Card for Mac Pro 3,1

Hi guys. I just wanted to ask a question about graphics cards which I know nothing about.

What is the best card to get for gaming/3D (maya)? Apple and or PC/Flashed (sorry if that is not the right term) and is it possible to buy the PC cards already flashed?

the best are the nvidia GTX285 and the Radeon 4870. You can buy flashed versions of the 4870 on ebay, but they don't end up being much cheaper than the apple card.

Or just buy a stock PC card and use netkas' injector to run it.

Or just buy the PC card for $150, flash it one time, and never have to worry about it again.
