Best Graphics Card for MDD

What models are available for your machine? I am not certain of the cards that will work with that model, but if you have that information, we can assist with pointing you to the card with the best bang for your buck.
 
Probably the GeForce 7800GS, you'll have to buy it and then flash it. Or buy it pre-flashed.

If you don't want to deal with that, the Radeon 9800 Pro is usually recommended.

If supported the Radeon 9800 is a great card as my sister uses one in he PC system and it works great. Good framerates at reasonable resolutions and it does not run too hot.
 
I was thinking the 9800 would probably be the top out without doing any flashing (which I would rather not). The other question is...will I notice any difference between the 128mb and 256mb version?

Leapord is very graphics card hungry...so I assume any upgrade in this area will be beneficial. I am trying to prolong this computer about another year before I buy a MacBook Pro.

Also, is ebay going to be the best bet for this?
 
Pretty sure all the Mac cards of the 9800 Pro were 128MB, more VRAM only helps if your running really high resolutions.
