What’s the best and cheapest storage for series s? Seen ones at £80 not sure if cheaper ones will work from Amazon? Anybody link me any that will work?

What's the goal here? Are you looking for a drive that you can play Series S enhanced titles off of? Or are you okay just storing Series S games and transferring them back to the main storage as needed? If you are okay transferring them then you can just use whatever external USB drive is cheapest. If you want to play Series S games off the drive then you HAVE to get either the Seagate or Western Digital Xbox Storage Expansion cards.

Ok thanks so a £30 one would do but if you don’t want to transfer back a more expensive one. How come the cheaper ones don’t offer what the seagate ones do?

The expansion cards I linked plug into the expansion card slot on the back. That slot offers up NVmE speeds just as fast as the built in drive. The USB ports are not that fast so game assets wouldn't stream correctly so they don't let you run Series S games off a USB drive. Xbox One games do work off a USB drive because they were designed for slower HDDs, so if you have any of those you can at least keep them on a cheap external and play them there.
