Best imac refurb deal

Which deal do you think is best right now? At one point I saw 4 different configurations... They have an i5 for 1699, so 300 off that seams to me to be the best bargain... have there ever been i7 refurbs??

The one that is not there that was last week is the 27 inch with an upgrade to 3.33 core duo for 1599, thats 300 off as well, but I think the i5, with the better graphics card is the better deal... just wish i could find an i7 refurb

Well its back!

I know its all speculation and a dumb question but what kind of upgrades do you think they will have... I really don't see how it can be that big of an upgrade, what do you guys think?

But apparently a lot of people are getting 2TB drives in their i7 imac refurbs, so i mean if that was to happen, 1849 for a 2TB i7 imac.

What state are you in? did you factor in tax?

for me an i7 refurb is $1850 + 180 in tax = $2100ish.

brand new, is $2200.

I have bought plenty of refurbs in my day, and they were "fine" -- but none of them ever looked "new".

For $100 more, Im going with new.

Wow, that's probably the most misleading thing I've ever read. Why on Earth would they charge tax on refurbs and not on new ones?

(hint: they charge tax on everything as long as they have an Apple store in your state)

EDIT: And though this should be obvious, since tax is a percentage, you pay more money in tax for a more expensive (new) computer.

Yeah, OK, not sure why that got read that way.

*other places* dont charge sales tax on new Macs.

Smalldog, Powermax, Amazon, B&H photo, etc

Apple charges tax everywhere it can.

ahh ok good to know :)

and i just guessed on tax, but thanks for looking. Not really missleading, gave me more options opinions so thanks :)

but should he want to to continue arguing with ya over tax stuff thats cool but i appreciate the response.
