I picked up some Skybuds today at Best Buy and I can already tell I like the look of them in ear ten times better than my AirPods..... charging case, 4 hours of stream time.... etc etc.... is solid

What wireless earbuds do you use>. Why do you love them and hate them?

I use the Airpods. I don't think they are the 'best' on the market. But I find them very convenient and comfortable. The battery life is great and the pairing is seamless. They also have some nice features. 15 minutes of charging is equivalent to three hours of usage. The sound is decent, but I'm not interested in noise cancelling and nor am I an audiophile either.

Jabra elite sport. Love them, great fit, good sound, nice seal, and a few nice extra features like hear through which lets in outside noise. Comes in handy in certain situations where I don’t have to take my buds off to hear something. I tried the AirPods and actually really liked them but they didn’t fit my ears right and would slide out just from walking.

The tail isn't even noticeable when you are wearing them imo. Maybe they look a bit funny or dorky to others, but that is just a cultural thing. Why does the tail look worse than 2 feet of wire coming out?

Anyway, I agree with a lot of what https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-true-wireless-headphones/ has to say.

For me, the Airpods are easily the winner for how easily they switch from my iPad, iPhone, watch, and Mac. That they are also not the kind you jam into your ear makes them much more comfortable too.

Doesn’t that long “tail on the AirPods” drive you guys nuts?
My last Bluetooth earbuds had a plastic strap that laid on my neck. It would stick to my skin, causing them to loosen or come out when I turned my head. I was constantly putting them back in or adjusting the fit. There’s none of that with my AirPods, and the tail doesn’t bother me at all. I think it gives them their iconic look.

For general use - Airpods. They are convenient, wire free, and produce a decent sound quality. For the most part, they don't fall out of my ear, though I do get that feeling from time to time that it's loosened enough to

For the gym - Jaybirds X3. Foam tips make for an excellent seal, sound quality is good (for the gym at least; much better quality with the "isolation" tips)

This is exactly my reason for loving the AirPods. I am not an audiophile and hearing a smidge more midrange isn't the reason I want a set of bluetooth headphones. I want something convenient, with decent battery life, with good volume overall and sounds decent. That is AirPods all the way and why they are my absolute favorite earbud style headphones.

My only true wireless earbuds are the AirPods. They're great for general use and I like that they don't provide noise isolation, they're great to wear in an airport or anywhere situational awareness is important. I'm actually very pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. In fact, I'd say they have a better soundstage than BeatsX even with Comply foam tips and near complete noise isolation. $159 isn't exactly chump change but I do think the consumer gets a considerable amount of value for the price. Especially considering the prices of some of the other true wireless options. They work or me, but realize they're not a great fit (literally) for everyone. That's the downside of AirPods.

Bose has a new SoundSport Wireless option that is coming or has just been released, I'd suspect those might be a good option too but they are priced at $249.

Bragi's The Headphone (stupid name) are my go to earbud while working out.
I have the Bragi Dash. They would be great if they stayed connected. Paired to the watch, just swinging my arm 8nterrupts the connection. I keep my phone in a case on my belt. Paired to my phone they lose connection too. They are comfortable and I love the features but the connectivity issue is horrible. Bragi shows no loyalty to their Kickstarter customers and refuses to make it right. So... I’m in the market for a wireless solution that works.

I back the Dash on Kickstarter as well. They tried to do way too much for their first product. I ended up selling mine a year after getting them.

It’s the BeatsX currently, not for much longer

Now the 4th pair has broken so I’ve had it

Supposedly their newer units are better. You would think they would do something for the initial backers. My Dash earbuds are useless. I'm thinking about punting and getting some AirPods. At least I can trust Apple. The new Bose units look interesting too.

I have trouble with regular EarPods staying in, I know I'd lose an AirPod pretty quick.

I have used the Bose SoundSport Bluetooth wireless headphones for the gym at least 4 times a week, even use them while writing papers for class. My kids have the Beats and they sound ok just not as comfortable as the Bose. My daughter also has the AirPods and she Loves them and will not use anything else. Take my opinion with a grain of salt, its just my two-cents. here is the link to the headphones https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/headphones/earphones/soundsport-wireless.html

Those are a solid choice. While I don't have them, my favorite earbuds met their demise when I upgraded to the 8+ from 6s thanks to the "courage" of Apple to dump the 3.5mm jack. The Bose SoundTrue is the model I speak of and they were by far the most comfortable earbuds I've ever worn, they have the tips and fit down. Plus they sound is wonderfully rich and perfect to suit my tastes. I agree with your comments about the BeatsX, they're average in sound, that's it.

Bose does have new a new SoundSport Free model, they look interesting.

does anyone run with their AirPods in? I'm contemplating it but not wanting to ruin them due to sweat.

I have AirPods and Backbeat Fit. My preferred is AirPods for every day use and Backbeat Fit for the gym. I also have Bose wireless headphones but since I purchased AirPods a year ago, the Bose are getting very little use.

I am very pleased with the overall experience of the Airpids. The small charging case is extremely convenient. Paring is simple and pretty seamless on all Apple devices and others. The sound is good and I like the form factor.

Having said this I would not buy Backbeat Fit again. They are advertised as having an 8 hour battery. Very quickly after buying them, the 8 hour battery became a 5 hour battery. The replacement sent by Backbeat also became a 5 hour battery in less then a month. After that Backbeat did not stand by their product, unless I paid shipping costs on the return (for the third time). Backbeat lost a customer.
