Just bought a Canon iP6700D for my wife's mini mac.
They list for $150+ but I found it at Staples for $89 after a $30 mail-in-rebate.

This printer makes SUPERB pictures up to 8.5x11. I could not be happier.

Have you tried printing a black and white photograph? I'd be interested to know how well it does. My epson R260 does a great job on color, but when I print black and white, it has a bluish color cast and it's really contrasty. I'm looking for a decent priced inkjet printer that can handle black and white. Is that too much to ask for?

I have. And . . . . you are correct. The B/W 8"x10" picture has a slightly blue cast to it. Not a problem to me, but easily noticed.

Not sure what causes this.

Having written that, I still maintain that the color prints, up to 8.5x11, are just spectacular; so I can live with the blue cast. Rarely print B/W anyway.

I don't think you can go wrong with Canon printers. I bought an ip6310D, retails for around $100, on eBay, new in the unopened original box for $35. Wonderful machine!
