I've got the Plus and adding a case adds too much bulk so in lieu of a case I think I just want to get insurance. Is AppleCare+ the best or is there a better one? All I care about are accidental drops.

Best insurance options, IMHO.

1) Credit Card insurance for electronics (check if you qualify)
2) Square trade
3) Apple Care+

Really not any other options I would consider. I bought Apple Car+ today.

Good thinking on the credit card! Looks like mine doubles the warranty, which is cool. But doesn't cover accidental damage which is what I need.

Is Square easy to work with?

I've never done it, sorry. I usually just drop by the Apple Store, like I did yesterday afternoon.

They still had Apple stock and there was a 30 person line.

AppleCare + has got my money 5 times so once again

Geez, I've owned Apple devices for over 10 years and never had any fall or break on me that would require AppleCare. What are you doing to your devices??

I've only had a couple of incidents but I always add applecare just in case and it helps the resale value

Squaretrade is awesome!

Squaretrade is very easy to work with! They now let you take it to Apple to get fixed and they will reimburse you. It also covers water damage which AppleCare doesn't. You can also cancel the plan at any time and get the pro-rated refund put back on your cc. Check out their website; they have gotten great reviews from several publications.

Plus right now it only costs $94 for a two-year plan.

Just my two cents...

Apple care + does cover water damage.

With Square and AC+, what if you simply drop your phone and scratch up the phone's body pretty bad but it still functions without issue? Will they still let you get a replacement for $79 or does the phone need to not be functioning properly?
