Hi all, got a 2006 2GHz Core Duo MacBook Pro, 2GB RAM, running Snow Leopard. It's insanely long in the tooth and a painful experience to browse the web -- 50% of the time it lags on the smallest YouTube video.

It looks like it's the CPU usage that's causing the lag. I've tried both Chrome & Safari without a decent experience on either -- CPU maxes out with just one browser running.

Does anybody have experience with a 'lighter' Internet browser or any other suggestions? Thank you! :)

I think you'd greatly benefit from using any extension to safari/chrome/firefox that forces html5 video, it sounds like you're computer is choking on Flash content.

Thank you kindly for the advice & prompt response, I'll try that now.
