I was thinking of just taking a smart cover and possibly a sleeve so that I don't scratch my iPad Mini while it's in my backpack. What case type things would you recommend?

If you are looking for something very protective for your iPad while at school and to and from, I would suggest a full case with front and back protection, as well as another form of protection, such as a neoprene type sleeve. In combination, these will protect the iPad Mini very well.

You can find these type of cases here at www.customlogocases.co.uk

I don't want to be rude, but I'm guessing the OP has probably figured it out within the last 14 months by now. ;)
