I have spent hours looking for the perfect case for my iPhone 4s which is yet to arrive but to be frank they are all horrible, nothing can beat the look of a clean iPhone for me. I tend to look after my previous (dare I say Android) phones and don't recall ever dropping them. Screen protectors and cases make me want to puke.

Still I want to protect my phone when it is in my pocket or school bag and I don't mind the idea of a simple (non-flip) sleeve. Something cheep, good looking and durable that I can slip my iPhone out of frequently.

Which ones have people had good experiences with?

Really like the Sena Slim and Sena Argyle sleeves but once I pay for international shipping $$$$$ gets a bit steep.

Hi, well i made a review there : https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1352791/
This pouch is top notch quality but it is a bit pricey yes. But honestly if you choose it you wont regret it ;)

If you want something other than leather, I can recommend one of these neoprene pouches from Crumpler. Availability seems to depend on region.

What about something like bookbook? Not really a sleeve, but I'm thinking it may be useful, and still easily be able to remove the phone:

I feel the same way about cases. The eternal dilemma. I want to protect the phone, but it looks so much better just by itself. I use a best skins ever for at least some protection, but it doesn't do too much for bad drops.

You could also try the Saddleback small gadget pouch. I use it to carry my iphone 4s and its GREAT!!! Their leather is virtually indestructable, but still very very nice. Ive dropped my phone several times (while it was in the pouch) and the phone and pouch were fine each time. You cant even tell that I dropped it. I love Saddleback products, I have waaay too many of them.

Tuch sleeve is by far the best. You can get it with or without the card sleeve. Runs about $45 but it keeps the iPhone slim and with the wallet you can carry around about 3 to 4 cards or 2-3 cards and some bills. I eliminated my real wallet and am traveling lighter because of it. Best investment I made, google Tuchmade or click the link below.

I bought the sena ultraslim this past weekend to use as the protection sleeve when I stick the iphone in my mountain bike backpack.

I've ended up using it full time so far lol.

Great leather

Just ordered the Saddleback one in black. I too have had it with cases. I don't like any of them.
