In light of the 3G reaching out to many different parts of the globe there will be a lot of people buying an iphone, including myself.

I just wanted to open up a thread to see which is the best dock/stereo for it.

please share your reasons why it is the best and provide a link or a pic of it

This is what I currently have (http://www.fat-man.co.uk/docs/product_07/iTube_ValveDock_with_Speakers.shtml) :

Reason for the one I have now: It looks and sounds awesome (But quite expensive)
Reason for the second one: Both my partner and I have ipods/iPhones, good price.
Reason for the third one: The fact it comes apart like that and can be used anywhere, like on the patio at BBQ's etc, good price.

Does the iPhone fit in standard iPod docks? Or does it require a dock adaptor (like what came with my Nano?)

There's this clock radio that I'd LOVE to dock a 3G iPhone to, but I don't know if it's compatible....

since the pic shows an ipod touch and the iphone is a very similar i'd think it would fit. also if you look closely the touch is sitting in an adapter, which comes with your iphone

I was definitely interested in the JVC dual dock but I'd like to get a dock with a usb hub built in. I like having multiple devices plugged into the device and just one cable to my notebook so I can disconnect one cable when moving. Would be nice to have a dock with speakers and hub for whenever for my 3G

I have a Bose Sounddock which I have used with both my iPod and iPhone. There hasn't been any issues with either.

All of these options look like great setups, however what about SHIELDED iphone speakers? I can't stand the "gsm buzz" associated with non-shielded speakers. Any thoughts of good quality shielded setups?

Does anyone know of a good desktop iPhone speaker set which charges the iPhone 3G? My Logitech speakers give me the error message and are, I guess, using the Firewire charging circuitry instead of USB.
