Hi guys.

My cousin wants to give her old iPhone 5 to someone in Italy to use there.

It's locked with Sprint and she is out of contract.

I see two suggestions for getting an iPhone ready to give away. The one from Apple seems less detailed. The one from 9to5Mac is more steps.

Do you guys suggest one over another?

P.S. Wiping the iPhone will not affect her current iPhone 6, right?

1: go to sprint (or call) and ask to unlock the phone.

2: factory reset phone ( will only affect this phone )

3: sell iPhone on whatever

4: get payment and done

:)

I would add:

1A) Remove phone from iCloud, find my iPhone, etc
