for my last two iphones I got the otterbox defender. I notice that the iphone X model of that case no longer includes a built-in screen protector.

I want a case that means I never have to worry about the screen breaking, no matter what I drop it on. The defender served that purpose well; what's the best substitute? Is there a good reason that otterbox has dropped the screen protector?

Personally, otter box are too bulky for me, but I use the defender for my kids 6+. We don’t like their plastic screen protector so I just remove them, put glass protectors on the screens and put the defender case over it. I don’t see why you can’t do the same with the X.
