Just bought the slim Logitech keyboard at Best Buy for 83.09 (got an Amazon price match and used a GC for most of it). It seems really nice though I'll have to get used to the size of the keyboard relative to a full size or my 13" air keyboard. It feels really nice... anyways,

What are some really good tweaks that will further enhance my experience with a physical keyboard?

Thanks :D

BeeKeyboard. It lets you use keyboard shortcuts on your device. There is also an extension for it called BeeSafari that lets you use the keyboard to navigate in Safari like you would on a laptop.

Thank you just bought the tweak!

Any customizations within the app itself that would be helpful i.e. on BeeKeyboard itself?

None seem intuitive from using the Mac.

But BeeSafari is awesome.

I don't really use a lot of the shortcuts in the BeeKeyboard tweak itself. My primary use of BeeKeyboard is for BeeSafari. I completely agree, it is awesome. It makes using Safari on the iPad with a keyboard much more pleasant.

my thoughts exactly.

Is it BeeKeyboard that allows me to go between apps with the arrow keys on the home screen or is that a stock iOS feature?

Awesome I figured as much.

Only thing is when I type 'cmd+w' to exit individual safari tabs it closes them but then the app right away to home screen. I know cmd+w closes apps too but any way to make it just close tabs?

Also, anyone use BTC keyboard+mouse or something like that? With cursors/mice synced? Is there anything more to that or is that it? Seems mildly interesting but I don't mind my current config at all.

If you go into the BeeKeyboard options and then go to Global Addons->Basic-Global you can turn off the option for using Cmd+W for the home button. That should let you use it to quit tabs without exiting safari.

You rule.

Last two things

1) does your safari crash when you move up and down with arrow keys on websites sometimes?

2) any way to arrow down to select the website after its mostly populated in the address bar instead of touching it to select?

Any other nifty tricks I should know about?

1) Sometimes. It doesn't seem to happen too often though.

2) Not sure.

I can't really think of other any tips/tricks. Glad I could help.

If anyone still happens to be paying attention to this thread, I would highly recommend installing the BeeAppControl addon for BeeKeyboard. It lets you add swipes, touches, and a joypad (useful for some games) to keyboard actions. The preview video in the available addons section of BeeKeyboard in settings shows examples of it in games but the swipes and touches work well for scrolling and some other actions in other apps. As the description in settings says, it is an alpha build but I installed it earlier today and have not had any issues whatsoever in any of the apps that I have used it on.

BT Mouse and Keyboard which lets you use a HID mouse. No idea if it's compatible with the Bee* tweaks since I don't use them.

I have to agree with the user above me, get the BTC Mouse & Trackpad tweak, the developer for this has spent a lot of time playing round with BTstack and the Default Bluetooth software for quite sometime. The tweak basically let's you use a keyboard and pair other Bluetooth devices at the same time, like a wireless computer mouse, speakers etc.

I'd also get Blutrol which is developed by the same developer, you can assign key commands for games. So you can use your keyboard or even a Playstation 3 remote to play racing games or first person shooters.

These two tweaks are must haves for my iPad, and I hope you enjoy these tweaks as much as I have!

Pretty neat!

The in-app/game thing seems awesome. Not much of a gamer though :/ I don't have my Magic Trackpad with me (out of town) otherwise I'd try BTC keyboard and mouse out.

I just noticed on BeeKeyboard hitting the numbers toggles pages i.e. 1 = page 1, 2 = page 2, etc etc.

The flow with this tweak is incredible!
