We bought my technophobe dad (68) an iPad 2 several years ago. For the first 1.5 years he owned it, he didn't even really utilize it, instead clinging to his aging brick of a laptop. Now the laptop has died and he is using the iPad 2 exclusively. He certainly doesn't need a later model: the iPad 2 suffices for his web surfing, email, and texting purposes. However, he has been a bit frustrated typing with it, especially the limited delete function, and I am thinking that a keyboard case would make a perfect Christmas gift for him. He has cancer and is on maintenance chemo so he spends a lot of time emailing back and forth with friends. I am going to visit them before Christmas and if I already had the keyboard case, I could take it to him, set it up for him, and get him proficient with it while I am there.
I am looking for suggestions for a keyboard case that works well, is easy to use, low profile, etc. Inexpensive would be good, too, but is not the main consideration. Those of you who use keyboard cases, please share your best suggestions.
