Best LCD for Mac

It seems that the guide for LCD purchase (on this site) are for resolution over size. Are there any LCDs (e.g. by Samsung, LG, etc.) that are comparable to ACD? Meaning, can I receive the same quality picture (by pixel).

Dell is the standard recommendation. Much cheaper than the ACD, just lacking the aesthetic value that the ACD's have.

'Better' is always an ambigous term...Shouldnt be used in this way I think...

Better in what sense?

If you mean quality, then you should look at Sharp and EIZO who are pioneers in this field but ofcourse you will pay more. (They are much superior to the ACDs which are actually LG panels).

If you mean better in terms of value for money, get the Dell which I believe uses the exact same panels of the ACD if not better.
